Try the Concrete CalculatorWhen you choose Mix On Site, it’s like having your own on-site concrete mixing plant and you get all the advantages that come with it
Concrete delivered and mixed using volumetric technology in our mixer trucks at your site reduces the need to add water or materials at the last minute, so you get the strongest, best performing concrete possible.
Mix On-Site delivers concrete and concrete additives you require, and mixes them to the ideal specifications for your application - so you get ideal results.
By having your concrete mixed and poured on-site, you maximize the finishing time versus concrete that is mixed off-site and has started curing while being delivered.
By paying only for the concrete you use, you eliminate the significant cost of overages and shortages associated with standard concrete mixed off-site at a batch plant.
With concrete mixed just before application you can adjust your mix as needed, without any job delays or wastage, which is virtually impossible with off-site batch mixing. You also get the ability to pour TWO or MORE mixes with the SAME TRUCK.
Mix On-Site delivers concrete best suited for all types of residential, commercial and industrial building projects.
The volume of concrete you should order depends on the size and type of project. If you know the width (diameter for round applications), depth and length of the concrete pour, you can use our Concrete Calculator to find out how much concrete you need.
The water added to concrete mixes causes it to harden over time through a process called hydration. It can take some concrete years to reach 100% hydration, or 100% strength. But the rate of hydration is much faster in the first 28 days. Average concrete can reach 99% of its strength/hydration in 28 days. Because it is impractical to wait an extended period of time for very little increase in strength, concrete specification authorities selected 28 days as a time-frame for confirming the strength of concrete.
Temperatures that are too hot or cold can affect the curing time of concrete. High temperatures can evaporate too much water in the new concrete for proper hydration to occur. Cold temperatures slow down the hydration process and the concrete doesn’t strengthen at the same rate.
Concrete is made to be somewhat flexible and even freshly cured concrete can crack. This is normal and will not affect the strength of the concrete. Cracks in concrete can be minimized by adding “joints" to affected areas and/or by adding fibre when mixing the concrete.
